Last night I took part, as a performer, in the Atlanta Jazz Dance Preservation Society‘s 1st annual benefit gala and performance showcase. Needless to say, preparations for the event were hectic and stressful and exhausting. But, the end result was magnificent. I really enjoyed performing last night. I hadn’t been on a stage of that caliber since my days of ballet recitals. It was definitely fun. I’m surprised I wasn’t more nervous. Usually, I’m a wreck.
Well, the show was a success. We concluded the evening with a dance in the theater lobby complete with the Hotlanta Dixieland Band (my favorite Atlanta jazz band), and an open bar. It was a good good night.
